This is a PHP development LivePC. It includes a nice set of apps to handle all the basic needs of a new PHP developer or one who wants to prototype a new site from scratch. Webmin is used as a friendly web-based GUI configuration system for the server software included in the LivePC. The system is preconfigured to load Eclipse with a project that is automatically exposed at http://127.0.0.1/. Mysql starts with the default installation's set of databases and tables. Firefox has two preloaded bookmarks for the webmin configurator and the default site.
Included Web Development Plugins:
- Firebug - DOM Browser, JavaScript Debugger, Visual Inspector
- YSlow? - Analyzes any open site across many axes that affect performance
- Tamper Data - HTTP/HTTPS Request manipulator
- Web Developer - Organizes other development plugins
Other software includes:
- Firefox
- Thunderbird
- Gaim
- Acrobat Reader
- Flash Player
- MPlayer
- Subversion and CVS
- Webalizer
- Eclipse + the PDT
- PHP5
- GIMP
- SSH
- Wireshark Protocol Analyzer
This is a fully customizable gentoo install so the portage tree is included along with gcc 3.3 and gcc 4.0. You can use emerge to add new software.

This site is running inside the LivePC and, as you can see from the code, demonstrates how to use the database inside the LivePC.
