Collecting Server Logs   « Go Back

Applies To

  • Moka5 4.2 Servers
  • Moka5 4.1.x Servers
  • Moka5 4.0.x Servers

Background

You may want to collect server logs for monitoring purposes, to send to Moka5 Support, or for other use. This article explains how to collect logs from Moka5 servers.

Server logs are stored locally on each server. If you have separate hosts for the Moka5 Management Server, the Moka5 Image Store, and Moka5 Gateway Servers, you must repeat the process below on each host.

Collecting Server Logs

Use either of these methods to collect the server logs.

Exporting logs from iconfig

  1. Log into the Moka5 Server at https://<Moka5-server-name>/iconfig, using the bootstrap admin account.
  2. In the "General" tab, click Logs.
  3. Click All to download a .zip file containing all the available logs from the server.
  4. Alternatively, click Last 7 days to download a .zip file containing the logs from the last seven days.

Exporting logs from the installation directory

  1. Log in to the Moka5 server as an administrator.
  2. In the Moka5 installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files\Moka5\server\), navigate to the “logs” directory. The server logs are stored here.
Note: In Moka5 4.0.x, the filepath will read “Mokafive,” not “Moka5.”
  3. In Windows Explorer, right-click on the logs folder from Explorer and select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder. This saves the logs in a local .zip file.
