Pictures from Moka5 holiday party
Here are some pictures from our party last week.
moka5 Interviews
Here are a couple interviews that we have done recently.
The first one was at VMworld 2007. As you can see, we had a very nice booth there:
Another one was at SOA Conference 2007 East. John, one of our founders, was interviewed by
New LivePCs from moka5
We put together 4 new LivePCs based off the latest Fearless Browser.
- PHP Web Developer
If you are a web developer, this is the LivePC for you. - Secure Remote Access
This is an approximation of the solution that many people have
asked us for: a web browser + email client + VPN. There is no good
GUI for configuring VPNs in linux though. We'll add one when we get to
the scripting part of the UI toolkit work.
Another great show at VMworld 2007
We have talked to so many people at the show and a lot of people are interested in our technology. Our website traffic and the software downloads have been doubled since VMworld. This is really exciting!!
Here are some blog posting about moka5:
moka5 Party at VMworld
We are having an exclusive/invitation only party at VMworld 2007. It's at a very nice place in San Francisco. We have a few spaces open. If you are in town for VMworld and if you want to join the party, please send an email to [email protected] with a subject line "VMworld party." We will randomly pick a few lucky winners to join us for free food and free drinks.
Looking forward to meet you all at VMworld.
moka5 will be at VMworld 2007
Since this year VMworld is in San Francisco, a lot of us will be able to attend. We will be at booth #933. Stop by and check out the latest release of the LivePC Engine from moka5.
moka5 will be at the Flash Memory Summit and Linux World
Flash Memory Summit will be held next week (August 7-9) at the Santa Clara Marriott, CA. Dr. Monica Lam, our founder and Chief Scientist, will have a round table discussion on "Consumer Applications" at 6:00PM, Wednesday and a panel discussion on "Future Consumer Products" at 11:00am on Thursday. You can find more info here.
moka5 LivePC Engine on an IronKey with hardware encryption
We have a lot of cool toys here. This time we have a very nice looking encrypted USB memory stick from IronKey and we have used it to run LivePCs.
It provides military-grade encryption in a tamper-proof & water proof metal case. It has secure backup and password management. One of the most interesting feature is if someone tries to guess your password and if he/she gets it wrong ten times, the key will erase all the data and destroy itself!!
moka5 has an iPhone
We have an iPhone in house and we are playing with it now. Too bad it cannot run as an external USB drive. Otherwise, we could run moka5 LivePC off it. Here are some pictures:
We will take some more better pictures and write a review after we spend more time with it.
New Beta Release: moka5 LivePC Engine can directly upload LivePCs to our library
Better yet, it is still FREE!
We would like to inform you that a new version of the moka5 LivePC Engine has been released. In this release, we've made LivePC creation and sharing a lot easier. With our new LivePC Publisher, you can create and customize your own computing environment in just a few simple steps. Click the create button, install your OS and applications in the LivePC and you will have your own LivePC today.
