MokaFive to Debut "Mac in Minutes" at MacWorld Expo/MacIT Conference
New three-step install process promises swift deployment of secure, Windows desktops to thousands of Macs
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.—January 26, 2012—MokaFive™, known for its innovative desktop-management solutions, announced today that it would unveil Mac In Minutes for MokaFive Suite, at MacWorld Expo/MacIT Conference to be held at San Francisco's Moscone West, January 26-28. Mac in Minutes lets companies securely deploy their corporate Windows desktop to all of their Mac users in less than the time it takes to watch a movie.
This emphasis on simplicity and speed to deployment is a stark contrast to other solutions, such as popular desktop-management tools or virtual-desktop infrastructure (VDI), which can cost millions and take years to deploy. The large capital expense and delayed ROI are major disadvantages of these other solutions. What's more, their user experience is often clumsy and dissatisfying.
MokaFive not only speeds time to deployment but also to ROI. There is little capital expense, and it provides enterprise-level security, enables central control and management, and confers a superior user experience. Furthermore, MokaFive requires no special Apple skills. It allows companies to instantly extend their existing corporate applications and systems to a Mac.
"Basically, Mac in Minutes makes Windows 7 an app on the Mac," says Dale Fuller, president and CEO of MokaFive. "Once installed, it sits on the toolbar. Mac users just have to double-click, and in seconds they're up and running. Mac in Minutes really is the easiest and most effective way to bring Macs securely into the enterprise."
The Mac has come a long way from its days as a tool for graphic designers and other "creative types." Only a few years ago, industry analyst Forrester was advising clients to eschew Macs in favor of Windows. Recently, however, the same firm warned that companies that don’t support Macs risk becoming unable to attract or retain top talent.
MokaFive will be raffling off three Apple TVs at MacWorld Expo—one on each day of the conference. Participants must enter at the MokaFive booth, and be present at the time of the drawing to be eligible to win.
The company will also be unveiling a preview of its new MokaFive Mobile Player for iPhones and iPads at the conference.
