Software Engineer - Tools
We are looking for outstanding engineers who want to significantly improve the way people use computers by leveraging virtualization technology.
You will be responsible for developing and evolving the tools used by moka5's users and partners to develop virtual machines – LivePCs – which then run in the moka5 environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools which allow users to easily create and manage their own virtual computing environments (LivePCs).
- Research and understand the current technology and competition. Develop the strategy for radically changing the Virtual Machine creation landscape.
Required
- A fearless and pragmatic approach. We are breaking new ground here and need someone who is both fearless enough to explore new territory and pragmatic enough to deliver value to end-users quickly.
- 2-10 years software development experience.
- 2+ years experience in C++.
- Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field (or equivalent experience).
- Willingness to work hard and do what it takes – even if it's not in the job description. We are a start-up, after all.
Preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with virtualization.
- Experience building SDKs and other development tools.
- Experience in Java, Perl, Python or other languages.
- Experience developing on multiple platforms (Linux, Windows, Mac).
- Experience in Windows and/or Linux administration.
